future of education
Building Schools for the Future
Building Schools for the Future (bsf) is a DfES programme to rebuild or refurbish every secondary school in England over the next 15 years.
How does this work?
The preferred model is a Local Education Partnership (lep). Local Authorities and Partnership for Schools (PfS) will select a Private Sector Partner (psp). The three stakeholders will create LEP which will deliver the agreed services.
The integration of ict is a critical building block for the desired increase in educational attainment. the DfES have stated, "We are making sure that we have the right levels of capital investment to achieve our radical vision of ict in schools of the future."
The Government has allocated £2.2 billion for capital expenditure, consequently the scale and scope is driving some critical challenges.
