TALMOS Connect

With SharePoint at the heart offering single sign on access to all school systems, TALMOS Connect offers extended teaching and learning functionality to enhance the performance of our TALMOS Parental Portal.

TALMOS Connect provides read /write access to SIMS for teachers enabling assessment data to be entered from anywhere and Integration with Microsoft Exchange, library systems, revision systems, content, Moodle and much more. TALMOS Connect offers a two way communication between the school and the parent. The parent simply logs on to their easy to use dashboard and they have all of the information they need at their finger tips including homework detail, timetables, attendance and assessment information. TALMOS Connect offers peace of mind with real time attendance, assessment and behaviour information available to them at login.

TALMOS Connect extends on the functionality provided by TALMOS Parental Portal with the following tools: 

QuickLink: This tool enables users to access their personal folders on the school network and any resources on network shared drives from outside of school.

Key benefits include removing the need for students to use pen drives and enabling teachers to plan lessons anytime and anywhere.

ClassConnect (with the MIS Integration engine built in): This tool enables teachers to use their SIMS timetable as an interface to allocate resources and homework to students through the creation of Class Sites. The MIS Integration engine maintains the link between the MIS data (students, staff, parents, classes and timetables) and Active Directory. It also allows additional ad-hoc Active Directory users and groups to be created.

The timetable interface and MIS Integration engine can be used to link to resources within VLEs such as Moodle, Fronter and TALMOS Lesson Management System (LMS).

TALMOS Connect enables the creation of unlimited web sites (i.e. departmental sites), wikis, forums, blogs and surveys.
